2nd part of b-day

When Hudson was born I sat him by this bear, he was so little that we wanted to but him by something to show just how little he was. So now every year on his b-day we sit him by the bear to show just how much he has grown. Kennedy Helping with the cake.

I made Hudson this Elmo cake, he just loves Elmo, when Kennedy was little she also really liked Elmo, i think that most kids do. Hudson was so EXCITED when he saw his cake. I watch Ace of Cakes on food network and they say that is always hard to cut into the cake that took them so long to do, well I understand, It really didn't take to long but I hated to cut it, I love how it turned out, I am glad that I have pictures to remember.

Hudson's 2nd b-day

Hudson, my Mom, nephew Cru and I went to Hudson's FAVORITE place to run and play.... The Tree house. There are SO many things that he can do, he runs and plays so much that when we get in the car he always falls asleep, wore himself out.

These are our little neighbor friends Molly and Ben, they came over to play , I put in a movie for them and they all looked so cute

Hudson LOVES corn on the cob, Kevin thought that this was funny so he took a picture of him, YUM YUM corn on the cob.

Looking for the perfect dress

We went with our friends Cynthia & Brittanie to go look for Homecoming dresses. Kennedy & I had already been to the dress place looking so she had some picked out. Funny thing is that none of these were the ones that she tried on before, we found these when we went back. Brittanie actually ended up getting this one.This coral one is one of Kennedy's favorites, but we might get this one for a different dance, a little to formal for homecoming.



Funny thing.... Cynthia & I just loved all of the dresses that the girls were trying on and said that we wished that we could try them on, so the girls talked us into trying one on. That was fun... we felt like we were 16 again :) That was a really fun day, we enjoyed spending that kind of time with our girls.

The Answer

This is how Kennedy answered Kade back for the Homecoming dance.We filled the box with baseball gumballs ( Kade playes baseball for Fremont ) and put baseball stickers on the outside. I don't remember the first part of the note but the rest said " if there are more red and blue then I would love to go to the dance with you and if there is more white then i guess you won't have a date that night" and yes there were more red & blue. We drove to his house and left it on the porch ,rang the doorbell and left.

Kennedys 1st Dance

Kennedy got asked to Fremonts Homecoming. We opened the door to find this t-shirt and candy on our front porch ( and we had just been to my parents for dinner and Kennedy was crying because she had not been asked to the dance yet, thinking no one was going to ask her ).

Well the only name that didn't wash off was Kade Costley. Kennedy was way excited, her and Kade had known each other since 8th grade, so it was fun for him to ask her.

My Mom had these silly glasses and we put them on Cru and Hudson....I had to hold them on Hud , he wasn't really sure about them. Silly little boys.♥

Hill Air Force Museum

We took Hudson to the Hill Air Force Base to see the planes, he loves to look in the sky and see planes so i thought that he would like going and seeing them up close. My Mom , David, Ashley & Cru came with us, the boys had alot of fun looking at all of the planes and sitting in the little toy plane. What is it with little boys and air planes!

1st day of school

WOW .... time really goes by so fast, this is Kennedy's first day of her Jr. year at Fremont High School. She is not liking me to take her picture anymore, she just kept saying "I got to go ". Well Kennedy only one more year oh but also when you go to college. :) At least I don't follow you into your class any more and take pictures. We love you Kennedy and are so very proud of the wonderful young woman that you are turning out to be. I want to cry thinking about how grown up you really are, sometimes I forget. You are so beautiful inside and out, always stay that way.

Daddy's little helper

Hudson LOVES to be Daddy's little helper, my sister gave Hudson this lawn mower (one of his favorite toys ) and if Daddy is out doing things on the lawn.... well You can find Hudson right behind him. Hudson really looks up to his Daddy.

In August, right before school started we took the kids to the zoo. I took Hudson on the merry go round and at first he wasn't sure if he was going to like it or not, but he ended up loving it, he didn't want to get off. He thought that it was funny going around and seeing Daddy and "D" (Kennedy ) Hudson was insisting on pushing the stroller and not riding in it.

Can't believe sometimes when I see them together that those are my kids.... I feel so very lucky.

I love going out and having family time, I am trying to get alot of it because Kennedy is at the age where she isn't around as much and that is really hard for me, we have ALWAYS done things together. But I know that we will always stay close, she even talks about when she is older and moved out that she will be over ALOT and I am perfectly fine with that.

East Canyon

Kevin's parents have a membership to the East Canyon camping grounds. So every summer we all go up and stay for a few nights. This year we were only able to go up in the morning on sat. and stay the day. There is alot of fun things to do, swimming, play ground for the kids, shuffle board ( I know that sounds like something old people would play on a cruise , but it is actually really fun ), they also have a tennis court and mini golfing. Cheap toy!!!

This box had things in it that I had bought at Costco, I was putting things away and saw that Hudson was playing in the box. He was entertained with it for a long time, I was pushing him in it like it was a car.... he just kept laughing. Funny how little kids can be so entertained with something so simple.

This was actually in the summer, I am just a LITTLE behind on my blog.

Lazy Summer Day !

Hudson loves to be outside and to also play in the water, so If we don't go over to my parents to swim then we get out Hudson's little frog pool. It isn't very big but he still thinks that it is fun to sit in and play.

And there is Kennedy enjoying the sun and reading a book, while listening to her i-pod. I wonder if she knows what she just read because of the music playing in her ears ?
