Daddy's little helper

On sat. March 14th, Kevin was lowering Hudson's bed. So Hudson went and got a tool and was helping his daddy , it was so cute, he would look at Kev and mumble something like he was talking about what he was doing. And Kevin was enjoying every second of it. I asked him if he ever thought that he would be doing this with his little boy and he said that he always hoped so. I just LOVE my boys!!!!!!!

I have been taking so many pictures lately and can't keep up with putting them on my blog, so I finally found some time while Hudson was sleeping to try and catch up . I am going to try and do better and after I take the pictures post them, so some of these are not in order... oh well at least I got them posted that's what counts.

A BIG boy car seat

On March 11 ,2009 Hudson went to the Dr. for his 18 month check up. He is 30 1/2 in. long( only in the 5% ) and he FINALLY is 20lbs. 1 oz. (also 5% ) so he finally got to get a big boy car seat YEAH !!!!!!!!! So after the Dr. appointment we went and got him the new car seat....he just loves looking forward, it is a whole new experience for him in the car. He is a little guy and we love him so much , SPECIAL things come in small packages. LOVE ya BUGGY.

LET ME OUTSIDE !!!!

Every day Hudson goes to one of the doors and asks PLEASE to go outside. He loves seeing the birds and running around, it has been a long winter and we both are sick of being cooped up inside.Finally I get to go outside, even though it is a little cold, I still do not care.

Me and my Dad go for a walk to go and get the mail, it takes us a little while because I have to stop and look at everything!

Off we go for another adventure down the street.

Anything for a Popsicle

On March 6th I was doing my sisters hair and Hudson and Cru were bring typical little boys and destroying my salon. It was Cru's turn to get his hair cut and he didn't want to stop playing so I told him that if he sat like a BIG boy and got his hair cut I would give them a Popsicle, ( and Cru will do ANYTHING for a treat !!! ) so he sat so still and told me that I was being soft, so I went and got them both a Popsicle.They just both sat and watched TV and ate their Popsicles, Hudson loves Cru to come over and hang out, he just follows him around and copies him.

Kennedy's HAPPY day

Today was a GREAT day for Kennedy...... she got her braces off !!! ( March 2, 2009 ) She has had her top braces on since 7th grade and her bottoms on for almost a year. She had two teeth that would not come out so 2 years ago we had to have them pulled... then the permanent teeth took forever to come in , so when they finally did he could put the bottom ones on. Both Kennedy & I went to Dr. Tad Johnson he is a fun orthodontist, he always had different contest going on , and we always had alot of fun on our visits. As you can see he was covering Kennedy's face because I was going to take a picture.Here she is before they took them off...

And after... When you get your braces off they play a song REALLY loud ( It took Hudson by surprise and he didn't really know what to think ) and they all have a instrument and make loud noises and give you balloons, candy bar, popcorn and a soda, all the things you are not suppose to have when you have braces.

Look how good her teeth look, it was totally worth the wait. Now she just better wear her retainers so she won't have to go through that again.

And this is Hudson watching (guess what ????? ) Horton hears a who... thank goodness they had the DVD, it kept him entertained. Thanks Dr. Johnson and staff, we have really enjoyed coming to see you, and we will be back when Hudson needs braces.

YUM YUM !!!!!

I was making chocolate cupcakes and decided to give Hudson a beater.....at first he just looked at me kind of weird and then when I showed him what to do with it he got really EXCITED !!!!!YUM YUM !!!!!
I remember when I was little and my Mom would make things with the beaters and my sisters and I would fight over who got to lick the beaters.It was funny to watch Hudson lick all of the batter off and then ask me please for more.

Girls Night Out

On Feb.22 my friend Kelly and I went to the Celine Dion concert, it was a GREAT concert. We got the tickets last Nov. so we waited for a long time...but it was worth the wait. I went to see Celine in Vegas in 2004 with my Mom and sisters, WOW that was a great performance, we had 7th row seats, she really knows how to entertain. Thanks for coming with me Kelly , it was alot of fun ( and Kevin thanks you also , because he really did not want to go !!!!! )

Don't fall Asleep !!!!!

Well first of all ,my sister is going to kill me for posting this !!!!! But it is way to funny not to. Two weeks ago we all got together for my sister Ashley's b-day at my parents. After dinner Heather went and fell asleep on the couch. My 2 youngest sisters ( the pranksters ) decided to take a sharpie marker and draw on Heathers face. she was so tired that she didn't even move. My Dad was worried that when she saw it she would be really upset, but she left my parents and went home and a little while later called over to my parents and Ashley saw that it was Heather and didn't want to answer the phone...... they got the phone and Heather was talking like a french baker and talking about making a pizza HA HA. So she thought that the whole thing was funny. But watch out Natalie & Ashley because I think that she might get you back. So DON'T FALL ASLEEP !!!!!!!!!

NO more binki !!!

This is Bitter Sweet for me....we decided that after Hawaii we would take the binki away from Hudson, well that didn't work, so 2 1/2 weeks ago we started not to give it to him, but before that he could only have it for nap time, bed time and sacrament (and if we were somewhere and he would start screaming ) so we haven't been giving it to him at all. It kind of makes me sad, he looks so cute when he is asleep w/ it in his mouth. The first few times that he went into his bed he would just stand up and cry....how sad. But that got better really fast and now he is use to going to bed without it. It is just hard for us when we are at church and we want to give it to him so he will be quiet.These were his FAVORITE .

Day after Valentines Day Dinner

We Had our Valentines dinner on Sunday ( the day after ) I usually have a little gift for each of them on their plates, but I gave them the gifts on Valentines.The menu was : Chicken picata, roasted red potatoes, rolls ,a side salad and sparkling cider.
I LOVE having the Valentines tradition of just staying home and making dinner for my family , even when they are all grown I hope that we can always have a Valentines Dinner together.

For Valentines Day Kevin got a new watchHudson got some new puzzles, just look how excited he is !!!!!!

Kevin gave me these pretty flowers, I love all of the fun different variety of flowers. He is always so sweet to get me these kind of flowers, thanks honey,love ya.We usually stay at home on Valentines Day and I make a really nice dinner, but this year we went out.....what a joke, Kennedy said now she knows why we always stay home . But we had a good dinner at Texas Road House ( one of Kennedy's favorites ).

Kevin had got a rose for Hudson to give to Kennedy & I , how very thoughtful , we just LOVE our boys. I love Valentines Day I think that it is my favorite, I am such a romantic. I get so excited to do special things for my family to show them just how much I LOVE them. And every year Kevin will make me chocolate dipped strawberries & blueberries. Thanks again honey, I love you and can't wait to spend many more Valentine Days with you.

Super Bowl

I know that super bowl was a month ago.....but I forgot to post some things so I am going to go a little out of order! We had our friends Chris ,Kelly and their kids Jessie, Jordon, Carson & Payton ( and Carson's friend ) over for super bowl. I made a turkey, salad, and had lots of chips , dips and Kelly made a wonderful dessert, brownies w/ ice cream and home aid chocolate sauce, it was YUMMY !!!!! I didn't watch much of the game, but the end was good, I just like to watch the commercials and have our friends over.Jessie and Hudson, we had some 3-D glasses for one of the commercials so Jessie was playing with Hudson putting them on him then on her, she is so cute with him...we love Jessie.
