HAPPY 40th Kevin !!!

On Sat. Jan. 24th it was Kevin's 40th B-Day !!!! That morning he went ice fishing with my Dad & his friend Clint, they had a good time ,even though it was cold. Then he came home and took a little nap . The kids and I took him to Fat Cats for Pizza & bowling. Kevin did so good , he got 6 strikes in a row,( way to go honey!!!!!) Kennedy and I did so bad. but we had alot of fun. After bowling I had to go to the store to get some things for dinner the next day. I told Kevin that we were going to go to the movie with Chris & Kelly , so we were dropping the kids off at home, Kev kept telling me that we had to hurry. We get home and get into the house and SURPRISE !!!!!!! Kevin's friends and my family were waiting for him. I had planned a surprise Poker Party for him, even though he has told me several times " NO PARTY !!! " Well i didn't listen and did it any way. He likes to play poker so I got him a poker table topper for his b-day, so his friends Chris, Scott Larry, my Dad, Jason & David went down stairs and played poker. The girls and kids were up stairs hanging out.

Kevin we LOVE you so much and thanks for not being upset that we gave you a party, you just deserved it. Hope that you had a WONDERFUL B-day honey. ( He was really surprised because I invited his friend Scott that lives in Tooele, Kev hasn't seen him in 31/2 years. It was such a long drive that I invited him to stay the night in our spare bedroom. They stayed up and watched a movie and talked ) I hope that they can get together more often.

On Monday Jan. 19th, My mom, Sister Ashley, Nephew Cru, Hudson & I went down to Gardner Village to look for things for our houses & to have lunch. It was a fun day , the boys were really good, but by the time we went to Tai Pan they both were ready to go home. I am glad that you both decided to go with me, Thanks!

Kennedy's Dance Recital

Kennedy had her 1st dance recital with her competition Team on Sat. Jan. 10 ,2009. They did so good I can't wait till this spring to see how they do in their competitions. ( Kennedy is the one in the middle )It makes me SMILE when I watch her dance !!!!!

Special Sunday

Today was such a special day. It started out with our Ward Conference. Kennedy & I had a Presidency Testimony meeting this morning at 7:45 am . I am the Young women's Secretary and Kennedy is the Mia Maids Pres. They start off by calling 4 at a time to bear their Testimony, then another 4 and so on. About the third group they had asked for Kennedy ( and I thought ,well here comes the water works, and they did ) . She has such a strong Testimony of the church, it makes me feel so wonderful as her Mom. She said how THANKFUL she was for Kevin in our life and how wonderful he has been to us, that really got me going because teenagers do not express themselves like that very often. And she was saying how important prayer is , and how much she loved that all of the years that it was just her & I , even though I had to work 2 jobs, she was thankful that I always made time for her. And at that time I would always wonder if I had spent enough time with her, so I am so thankful for her to realize all that I did and do for her. She is and will always be my ANGEL !!!!! Looking at her today bearing her Testimony just really made me realize that my little girl is growing up and so fast, I sometimes wish that I could freeze time and keep her my little angel. This morning when we had to get up so early ( I am NOT a morning person ) you just keep thinking how tired you are, then you go to this meeting and WOW you could feel the Spirit so strong that it made it all worth while getting up. Then our friends Brent and Stacie were blessing their little girl Daphnie, they are moving to North Carolina and this was the only Sunday that they could do it ( Brent leaves in the morning and Stacie & Daphnie will be going in Feb. ) so they did the Blessing at 4:30 with just family & friends. Again the Spirit was so strong , how lucky to have that feeling twice today. Brent has a wonderful voice and he sang a song to Daphnie, the same one that he sang for Stacie on their Wedding Day. And that just topped things off, it was a beautiful song, it got me crying all over again. We love them so much and are sad that they have to be gone for a 1 1/2 years , but they will be able to come home to visit and I am hoping to go out and see them. So it has been a very bitter sweet day. But a very WONDERFUL & SPIRITUAL Sunday. I am so thankful for my loving family and friends, how lucky am I to have them be in my life. And today Hudson is 16 months old, time sure does fly by. I just LOVE that little guy (even though he is a walking tornado !!! )

Ice Skating

Our Friends Chris & Kelly 's Family rent out the ice sheet every year and they invite their friends & family, they invited us to come. ( Kennedy was at a party for her dance group so she didn't come ) When we got there we saw Chris' Mom and she told us that they just took Carson to the hospital, he feel on the ice and split open his head. So we didn't even get to see Chris & Kelly. But thanks so much for inviting us , it was a lot of FUN !!!!!!Kevin pushing Hudson around. Hudson LOVED it , he would just sit on the chair and smile.

Kennedy's Friend Christmas Party

Kennedy wanted to have a Friend Christmas Party, and then decided to have everyone wear a UGLY CHRISTMAS SWEATER!!! They played bunco, ate pizza and snacks, it was so much fun. They needed 4 more to play bunco so she asked 3 of our friends and I to play . After playing we had hot chocolate, candy cane ice cream w/ a ginger bread man cookie (i know what a crazy combo ) Then they played the gift exchange game and then just hung out. I just love Kennedy and her friends they are all so cute and fun !!!!!Kennedy & Bailey
